TIKVAT HAYIM
We would like to remind you about our Special Hebrew school for Special Jewish Children – a “gem” in our educational community, a gem of which most of you may be aware. Tikvat Hayim falls under the umbrella of the Beth Tikvah Educational network. It has provided for the last 33 years an educational programme that services children with a variety of pronounced learning disabilities. Children with such learning challenges as Autism, ADD, ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome, and Aspergers Syndrome, have all attended the Tikvat Hayim programme with great success. All the children enrolled in the programme successfully completed their respective Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations.
The programme operates every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Beth Tikvah under the directorship of Dr. Zeev Greenberg. The program is available in 2 segments. In the first one, students learn about their Jewish heritage and the meaning of Jewish customs and holidays. The second segment is a special class, that teaches language skills, and prepares children for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebtrations.
