PARNASSIM WANTED!The Ritual Committee is actively seeking persons to undertake the honour of acting as a parnass on Saturdays and festivals. The Parnass is involved in insuring that persons receiving honours are properly indicated and assisting with the proper and efficient operation of the service.
This task is very rewarding and we encourage anyone interested to contact the office. Proper instruction will be given.
BETH TIKVAH WELCOMES YOU!Symbolizing our religious commitment is the Shabbat experience. Our members enjoy total family participation, starting with the Friday evening Kabbalat Shabbat service in our magnificent Chapel and continuing with our well-attended Shabbat morning service. For further fulfillment, our members study together on Shabbat afternoon and conclude Shabbat with the special atmosphere of Havdalah.
Our inspiring choir enhances our prayer service on Festivals and about once each month. Our members are encouraged and trained to participate in Torah reading and leading various services throughout the year. Special emphasis is given to involving our youth in synagogue ritual.
ALIYOTWe remind all members as follows:
(a) That any person seeking Aliyah on a particular day is asked to notify the office and if possible they will endeavour to satisfy the request.
(b) That handicapped persons will be accommodated for Aliyot if notice is given in advance.
